The West Plains Aquatic Center is finally reopening this year! After a summer closure for repairs and maintenance, followed by another season of pandemic closures, 2021 welcomes the reopening of the pool park.

The West Plains Park and Recreation Department announced that the grand opening- and much-desired opening- of the Aquatic Center is this Saturday, May 29.

What Are The Open Times?

At long last, the park center opens at noon on Saturday, May 29, 2021. It will remain open until 5:00 p.m. each day Mondays through Sundays [1].

How Much Does It Cost?

Persons aged 12 and older need only pay $5.00 for admission. Children ages 3-11 need to pay only $4.00, while young children under age 3 attend free. The parks department does require children under the age of 12 to be accompanied by an adult.

What Are The Details?

The Aquatic Center has two pools. The smaller one has a zero entrance. It holds a monther’s bench in the water, a mushroom waterfall, a small frog slide, and a larger water slide. Its greatest depth is 3’6″. The larger pool has two diving boards and goes down 12 feet. Encircling both pools are lawn chairs. Outside of the immediate swimming area are pavilions and picnic tables for use.
