Twenty states are working together to stop Biden’s transgender mandate that is tied to schools. Tennessee Attorney General Herbert Slatery is leading the way. The states joining in the lawsuit are Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, and West Virginia. He says,
this case is about two federal agencies changing law, which is Congress’ exclusive prerogative [1].
What’s The Suit Claiming?
The lawsuit claims that a previous case, Bostick v. Clayton County, was limited to employment and did not address the many other forms of discrimination. Instances of this are sex-segregated bathrooms and sports teams. The lawsuit goes on to state,
the agencies (DOE and EEOC) have no authority to resolve those sensitive questions, let alone to do so by executive fiat [2].
Correlating News
Last month, pediatricians and other health care workers joined to sue the Biden administration over the gender identity expansion. Objections concerning the treatment of children would be considered ‘discrimination’ under Biden’s new interpretation of sex. The ADF (Alliance Defending Freedom) slammed the Biden administration for
grossly overreaching its authority [3].
Both of these cases are going through the court system to cast away these alleged beliefs brought out by Biden.
