Each year HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association) plans four contests open to all home schooled individuals aged 7-19. Divided into each quarter, the contest that is now open is an art contest. Here are the details.
Who Can Enter?
This contest is open to all privately home schooled children ages 7-19. The age of the student is determined by his age as of December 1, 2021. Sorry, virtual schools or public students are not eligible at this time. The contest is then divided into three age groups with varying themes.
What Are The Details?
The art contest is accepting entries now through February 1, 2022. The entry must be submitted no later than February 1. Each student may enter up to two pieces of art. There is a specific size allowed, and the work must be original and hand-done. The entry fee is $15.00 for those not HSLDA members, $10.00 for members. Complete instructions can be found at their website here. Prizes range from $500.00 to $50.00.
When Is The Deadline?
This art contest opened December 1, 2021 and ends February 1, 2022. A poem contest will begin on March 1, 2022.
Where Does The Entry Fees Go?
All proceeds go to HSLDA compassion, which uses the funds to provide low-income homeschooling families with access to educational and legal resources to help them continue homeschooling.
Thus, all home school students with a knack for art, or simply want to enter a contest, now is the time. The deadline is fast approaching. Read the directions for your age group and prepare your project. You may just win!
