Filters for coffee. O.K. Too many? Perhaps you ordered the wrong size or upgraded to a coffee maker with a different size filter. If so, what should you do with these filters? Throwing them away seems a bit wasteful. So here are some suggestions [1].
Children
If you have young children around, you’ll find plenty of craft projects to do. With winter here, you can make hours of crafts out of snowflakes and snow men.
Kitchen
What about using them in the kitchen instead of in the coffee maker? In the microwave, they prevent splatters by acting as a cover. If you need to absorb grease or spills, grab one instead of a paper towel. How about wrapping spices and herbs in a filter and letting them simmer in the stew? Coffee filters can be used to strain soup, wine with bits of cork, tea, or any other liquid you wish to become clear. Rubber band the filter over a receptacle and place it over the receptacle. Strain the item through the filter.
Dining Room
Filters are the proper size to place between dishes in a China cabinet.
Laundry Room
You can use a coffee filter as a dryer sheet by applying a few drops of fabric softener to it and rubbing it around to spread it out.
Household
Wrap Christmas ornaments and other valuable decorations separately with a coffee filter. This prevents ornaments from rubbing against each other and makes nesting them easier.
Cleaning
Coffee filters are great for cleaning glass because they leave no lint behind. They work well on television screens and monitors, too.
More ideas will come to your mind as you put into use these suggestions. Have fun and there are far more right uses for a filter than wrong uses.
