School’s are gearing up for the 2022-2023 school year which also means that a new month is upon us. The Alton, Missouri, Senior Center has their meals and activities planned for the month of August, 2022.

To start off the month, on August 1st, veggie beef soup, grilled cheese, spiced pears, and a cinnamon roll will be served. On August 5th, taco salad, lettuce and tomato, refried beans, corn chips, and pina colada cake will be served. On the sixteenth of August, lasagna, tossed salad, garlic bread, Italian, blend, and a brownie will be served. A baked pork chop, ranch potatoes, green beans, roll, and apple pie bars will be dished out on August 23rd. To close out the month, on August 31st, a roast, potato, carrots, tomato salad, cornbread, and banana cream pie will be dished out.
Activities
On August 2nd, a prize drawing will take place at 11:30 am. On August 5th, it will be crafty day, so bring your creativeness. On August 10th at 10:00 am, a pen pal club will meet so seniors can write to other seniors across the state. On August 17th, seniors can make a dove out of clothes pins with Cindy. On August 24th at 10:30 am, seniors can have frappes with Whitney.
