Unlike previous weeks, slaughter cows traded 2.00-3.00 lower while slaughter bulls traded steady. Demand was good on a light supply. Receipts have become more seasonable as most of the area has moved from extreme and severe drought to moderate drought or abnormally dry. The supply of pairs has been light as splitting them up brings more money for the producer due to the high demand for bred or open 2-4 year old heifers and older cows going to slaughter.

Supply included (percentages are rounded): 62% Slaughter Cattle (16% Bulls, 84% Cows); 38% Replacement Cattle (7% Cow-Calf Pairs, 45% Bred Cows, 49% Stock Cows);
