Summary:

Â
Â
The trades have flipped from last week with the slaughter bulls being traded 2.00 to 3.00 higher and the slaughter cows traded 1.00-2.00 higher. Demand was good on a moderate supply of slaughter animals and a light supply of replacement cattle. Following the special replacement sale on Saturday the quality and supply of replacement cattle was lower than normal and the muddy conditions didn’t help numbers either.
Supply included (percentages are rounded): 69% Slaughter Cattle (13% Bulls, 87% Cows); 31% Replacement Cattle (40% Stock Cows, 1% Bulls, 5% Cow-Calf Pairs, 46% Bred Cows, 9% Bred Heifers);
