On Monday, March 20, 2023, President Biden signed Senator Josh Hawley’s COVID Origins Act of 2023 into law. After introducing the COVID Origins Act of 2021 in 2021, which did not pass, Hawley and Senator Mike Braun got another piece of legislation through Congress and now through the president.
The Act
The legislation requires the Biden administration to declassify intelligence related to any potential links between the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origins of the Covid pandemic.

The Vote
The COVID Origins Act of 2023 was passed unanimously both in the House and the Senate. In the House, the vote was 419-0.
