Alton, Mo. – April thundershowers are here! With summerlike weather on Tuesday, forecasters were calling for heavy showers, even thunderstorms, as the cold front passes through the area. Not yet the front, thunderstorms did pass through the area overnight, leaving many without electricity.
Power Outage
Between 1:00 am and 2:00 am, thunder shook homes while lightning streaked through the skies. Electricity flashed on and off at some homes. Other homes are powerless when the sun comes up.
According to Howell Oregon Electric, between 0-99 households were without power this morning in Oregon County. Neighboring Howell County did not experience any outages. To see the power outage map, click here.
Normalcy
As this is not snow or ice season, electricity is expected to return to normal quickly, hopefully before the next storm passes. Weathermen are calling for severe storms this morning preceding the cold front.
