Alton, Mo. – Spring is a welcome sight to so many. With spring comes graduations. Alton is no different. Alton High School is having a graduation ceremony. Howbeit, preceding graduation, the city is hosting a baccalaureate service for all graduates.
What Is A Baccalaureate?
A baccalaureate service is a celebration that honors a graduating class from a [1] high school. The event is typically Christianity-based. Speakers selected tend to be community leaders, faculty members, or local religious leaders. Although not a mandatory event, graduates are encouraged to attend.
Who Is Speaking At Alton’s?
Dr. Steele is the keynote speaker at Alton’s baccalaureate service. He is the high school principal and pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Who Can Attend?
This service is open to the public. All graduates are encouraged to attend. This is open to public schoolers as well as private and home-schooled students and their families. If one is attending another school, he is welcome to come.
