African Leaders Ask US To Respect Their Biblical Values

Community

Africa

With the help of U.S. foreign assistance programs, Western woke, pro-abortion, and anti-family agendas are increasingly targeting African nations. And African leaders are trying to fight back!

Funds are diverted towards these programs by Interaction.org, an organization that lobbies the federal government. Represented in Interaction.org are Bethany Christian Services, American Red Cross, Oxfam, International Rescue Committee, Islamic Relief, Catholic Relief Services, Care USA, Save the Children, and World Vision. According to InterAction, there is an explicit right to abortion, and funding should be increased for “women’s rights and feminist organizations.”

What Is PEPFAR

The President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief is called PEPFAR. It allows funding to countries to prevent and
treat HIV/AIDS. Originally, the plan was to protect and preserve life and emphasize abstinence and responsible behavior and practices. Leaders are concerned that current funding will include abortion, violating their beliefs concerning life, family, and religion.

Africa’s Response

As a result of these Western commitments, more than 100 African politicians and religious leaders sent a letter to the Senate and House leadership, requesting that African pro-life and pro-family values be respected. The Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief funding proposed by President Biden was of particular concern.

You can read the letter, dated June 6, 2023, here.
