Slaughter bulls sold steady and slaughter cows sold 4.00-5.00 lower. Demand was good on a moderate supply of replacement cattle and a heavy supply of slaughter animals. Spotty thunderstorms across the area have provided some moisture to those areas fortunate enough to be under them but not enough to help with the poor hay yields and worsening pasture conditions. Slaughter cow prices took a dip this week as processors are having problems handling the heavy volume they have been receiving for several weeks.
