Thayer, Missouri, local Jayce Haven was in a car accident on Friday, October 20, 2023, in Brandsville, Missouri. Different fundraisers are going on to help him and his family cover medical costs.
The Accident
Haven was in an accident in the morning on October 20th, right outside of Brandesville. [1] He was air-lifted to Springfield with serious injuries.
Recovery
As of November 9, 2023, Jayce Haven was still in a coma but responding more readily. [2] On Monday, November 13th, Haven was moved to the Madonna Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, which specializes in traumatic brain injuries. [3]
Fundraisers
Multiple fundraisers and ways to donate to the Haven family are set up. All the proceeds will go to the Haven family to help with medical costs.
Raffle
A benefit raffle for Jayce Haven is going on until November 22nd. Tickets are $5.00 per ticket or $20.00 for five tickets. The first prize is a Ruger American Rifle .270 with Vortex Crossfire II Scope. The second prize is a $500 favorite fishing gift card, and the final prize is a $300 favorite fishing card. Lou & Lorna Boutique is also having a fundraiser for Jayce Haven. They are selling devotionals, studies, journals, and other items for $20 each, with all the profits going to the Haven family. [5]
Community Bank
An account has been set up at the Community First Banking Company in the Thayer, Mountain Grove, and West Plains branches for the Haven family. [6] Every little bit helps.
GoFundMe
Also set up for Jayce Haven is a GoFundMe page. Already, out of the $2,000 goal, $1,700 has been donated. [7]
Shirts
Tracy R. Jones is selling t-shirts and sweatshirts as a fundraiser for Jayce Haven. For the t-shirts, the prices range from $16.00 to $20.00, and for the sweatshirts, the cost ranges from $25.00 to $30.00. [8] Orders for the shirts will close on November 19th.
