Summary:
Slaughter cows and bulls were steady to 2.00 higher with most of the gain on high dressing breaking cows. Demand was good on a moderate supply. The USDA released its biannual Cattle Inventory Report today, which reported Cattle Inventories were down 2 percent from last year and the 2023 Calf Crop was also 2 percent lower than in 2022.
