The Great American Eclipse happened on Monday, April 8, 2024. On Saturday, April 6th, the AltonMo.com field team went around to different eclipse events and polled attendees. The questions asked were as follows 1. What are you looking forward to on eclipse day? 2. How long can the totality part of a solar eclipse last? and 3. What is one of the two planets in our solar system that do not experience eclipses?
Eclipse Day
Different answers were given for what people were looking forward to on eclipse day, but most people said just to experience it.

- Not looking forward to anything: 20%
Eclipse Length
Most of the people interviewed were not strong in the astronomy part of the questions (which was two). Hardly anyone knew how long the totality part of a solar eclipse can last.

The final question asked was what is one of the two planets in our solar system that do not experience eclipses.
