On June 1, 2024, in Alton, Missouri, the AltonMo.com field team had a chance to interview Keith Elliott who is running for the 153rd representative district. Questions pertaining the government, immigration, and homelessness were asked.
Homelessness
One of the questions asked was “Do you think it is the government’s responsibility to address the issue of homelessness?” Keith Elliott answered that it is “to a degree… it is more of a societal issue. I think it’s more teaching our folks to value life, to value marriage, to value, uh, Christian rights… to value their families.”
Immigration
Another question asked was on the topic of immigration: “What is the goal of immigration and should the U.S. be more or less selective with who can become a citizen?” Elliott said that if we went by the original selection process, we would be fine.
