Elections are a big issue. While many accuse the 2020 and, thus, the 2022 elections of being full of fraud, instances of guilt emerge. This is good as it precedes the 2024 general elections. To encourage registered voters in Missouri to get out and vote, we try to keep our readers informed of election rulings around the country. By removing lawbreakers from the system, each person’s vote really will count.
Such is the case in Texas. Although it took two years to convict an election worker, it has been done before the next election.
Guilt
A Democrat election worker in Harris County, Texas, was charged with six felonies for his part in rigging the 2022 midterm election.
The Democrat District Attorney Kim Ogg announced tampering and theft charges against election worker Darryl Blackburn after discovering a paper ballot shortage at 119 polling locations across Harris County. Texas Governor Abbott called for an investigation into the widespread problems following the election.
The investigation found insufficient paper ballots in many Republican precincts but not in many Democratic precincts.
Charge
Darryl Blackburn has been charged with tampering and theft. Ogg said that Blackburn’s crime did indeed impact the election. As most Election Day voters in Texas are Republicans, a lack of paper ballots on Election Day means Republican votes were ineffective.
