It was a big day in Missouri and across our nation as millions went to the polls to cast their ballots for who best represents them on judges and in several other positions. While Oregon County did have its say in the elections, here are the results of what Missouri said.
National News
Donald Trump won compared to Kamilla Harris. He garnered 58% of the votes. Incumbent Senator Hawley took 55% of the votes, more than his contestor Kunce, who had 42%. Incumbent Jason Smith of the 8th District won 77% of the votes.
State Offices
Mike Kehoe received the most votes -59 %—and won. Dan Wasinger received 59% of the votes for Lieutenant Governor. Denny Hoskins won 57% of the votes for Secretary of State. Vivek Malek won 57% of the votes to take the State Treasurer position. Incumbent Andrew Bailey received 59% of the votes for a win.
Local State Offices
Incumbent Jason Bean won 83% of the votes, while Keith Elliott got 85%.
Judges
Judge Privette did receive 100% of the votes. For our Supreme Court, both Judge Gooch and Judge Broniac will retain their titles. And for the Court of Appeals, both Judge Growcock and Judge Borthwick will retain their positions.
All of these elected positions went basically as Oregon County voted.
Props And Amendments
Constitutional Amendment 2 passed with 50%, Amendment 3 passed with 51%, and neither Amendment 5 nor 6 passed, receiving 48% and 47%, respectively. Amendment 7 passed, receiving 68%. Finally, proposition A passed with 57%.
100,000 votes across the state decided some of these issues. Each vote was crucial in deciding the outcomes. You can go here to read the results or check other counties in detail.
