The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) announced that free fishing days in Missouri are Not canceled. As a matter of fact, they are urging residents to get out and “get hooked on fishing” [1].
What Are The Rules?
Free Fishing Days are June 6 and 7, 2020. This is a Saturday and Sunday. Anyone may fish in Missouri without having to purchase the necessary permit, trout permit, or trout park daily tag. Some regulations are still in effect. These are ones regarding size limits and quantity taken. Special permits may still be necessary at some county, city, or private fishing areas. Trespassing laws are in effect.
What Does Missouri Offer?
Missouri has over a million acres of surface water. Most of that provides great fishing. One can find more than 200 different species of fish, of which more than twenty are game fish. Missouri has an app to help anglers find the best place to fish. Here is the link to the app.
