Alton, Mo. – On election day, November 3, 2020, AltonMo.com joined with the Alton Burger Palace to offer a free deal to voters. [1]Together they were paying for free ice cream cone coupons to voters. Altonmo.com would like to take this time to publically thank the Alton Burger Palace for forming a brief partnership to get citizens out to vote. Altonmo.com also wants to thank the citizens of Alton and all of Oregon County for doing what is required to keep our freedoms and rights intact.

Early Morning

Polls opened at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Altonmo.com was there at a table. To all voters who exited the polling station, they were handed a coupon for a free ice cream cone. This was not done by any party affiliation. No questions asked other than: Did you Vote? Do you like ice cream?

Voter Turnout

Although the major news stations have forecasted a huge voter turnout, their word is unreliable. Nonetheless, Alton and Oregon County had a large turnout of voters. In the past, one could cast a ballot in mid-afternoon and still not be the hundredth voter in Alton. Not this time! Within two hours-yes, that’s by 8:00 a.m.- all 100 ice cream coupons were handed out by altonmo.com personnel.

Later in the day

Meanwhile, additional citizens continue to arrive to cast their ballots. They each wanted their voice heard. Alton Burger Palace planned ahead for these extra ice cream coupons, and they were ready for the customers. Furthermore, voters showed up at the Burger Palace asking for free ice cream even without the coupons.
