On Thursday, March 25, the Republican Party of Johnson County, Missouri met. This Lincoln Days event was a time to hear incumbent speakers as well as hear those who plan on running for office. A man on the streets gave us the following report of the evening.

Who Was Present

Several notable speakers attended the event. Among them were Eric Schmitt, Missouri attorney general; Mike Kehoe, current Lieutenant Governor; and Jay Ashcroft, our Secretary of State. Local representatives and elected officials attended and spoke their views on current events and policies. Schmitt, Kehoe, and Ashcroft were considering running for US senator, hoping to replace Senator Blunt who is resigning. However, Kehoe and Ashcroft withdrew their filings [1]. Each is considering a run for governor in 2024.

Covid News

One speaker did announce the facts that Missouri has the lowest covid positivity rate in the entire United States.

Local Work For Federal Level

Schmitt did say that he has joined other states or filed personally lawsuits for every President Biden executive order. He had also remarked that Representative Pelosi can ‘pound the sand’, go away, if the Democratic election stealing laws pass.

Where Was This?
