The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is urging consumers to check their recent purchases for ready-to-eat meats [1]<\/sup><\/a>. These meats may contain bacteria. The contaminated list contains pork, hams, bacon, various weiners, pork loins and chops, and snack sticks.<\/p>\n The FSIS personnel inspected the Behrman Meat and Processing Inc. plant in Albers, Illinois. These inspectors found bacteria. Although no confirmed illnesses have been reported yet, the inspectors are calling for a recall. The meats in question were ready to be shipped to retail locations in Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, and Indiana.<\/p>\n The meats in question were produced from July 7, 2022, through September 9, 2022. Each of the recalled items has the establishment number “EST 20917” inside the USDA mark of inspection. A list of the lot numbers can be found here<\/a>. Also, a list of the distributors can be found here<\/a>. Keep in mind that although Alton is not specified, many grocery stores redistribute their items.
