The National Park Service is having an entrance fee-free day for all the national parks on Friday, August 4, 2023, in honor of the Great American Outdoors Act.<\/p>\n
For all the national parks across the United States, there will be no admission for any of them on August 4th. [1]<\/sup><\/a> The free admission does not account for any fees on camping, the amenities, boat launches, transportation, etc.<\/p>\n There is no admission today because it’s the anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act. The act [2]<\/sup><\/a>provides funding to improve infrastructure and expand recreation opportunities in national parks and other public lands.<\/p>\n National Park Service Director Chuck\u202fSams said on why the National Park Service has fee-free days,<\/p>\n There are a total of five admission-free days in 2023.
