The final month of the year is upon us: December. With December comes the food and activities that the Alton Senior Center provides.<\/p>\n

Menu<\/h2>\n

To start off the month on the first, smothered pork chops, ranch potatoes, California veggies, hot buttery rolls, and banana bread will be served. On December 6th, it will be their holiday dinner. Ham, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, green bean casserole, rolls, and a holiday dessert will be served for the meal. Fried fish, brown beans, cornbread, coleslaw, and red velvet cake will be served on December 12th.\u00a0 On December 20th, cheeseburgers with all the fixings, coleslaw, BBQ baked beans, and blueberry sour cream coffee cake will be served.<\/p>\n

Activities<\/h2>\n

On December 4th, the senior center will have its toenail clinic. On Wednesday, December 6th, a fun cookie swap will happen. You can craft with Devyn on December 8th. On the 13th, you can have eggnog with Whitney. On the 14th and 15th respectively, there will be bingo and a lost loved ones group support. To close out the month on the 21st, there will be a secret Santa gift exchange.<\/p>\n

Closed For Christmas<\/h2>\n

The Alton Senior Center will be closed from Friday, December 22, 2023, through Monday, January 1, 2024. They will open back up on January 2nd.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
