{"id":29312,"date":"2023-12-11T12:21:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-11T18:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.altonmo.com\/?p=29312&#038;preview=true&#038;preview_id=29312"},"modified":"2023-12-10T16:57:07","modified_gmt":"2023-12-10T22:57:07","slug":"several-thayer-bobcats-are-named-to-the-swmfca-class-1-football-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.altonmo.com\/sports\/several-thayer-bobcats-are-named-to-the-swmfca-class-1-football-team-20231211","title":{"rendered":"Several Thayer Bobcats Are Named To The SWMFCA Class 1 Football Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thayer, Missouri, High School&#8217;s football season came to a close in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altonmo.com\/sports\/thayer-bobcats-season-ends-with-loss-to-portageville-bulldogs-20231111\">district semifinals versus the Portageville Bulldogs.<\/a> Although their season came to an end early on, several Thayer Bobcat players were named to the Southwest Missouri Football Coaches Association (SWMFCA) All-Area Team, Missouri Football Coaches Association (MFCA) All-State Team, and the Missouri Football Coaches Association All-District Team.<\/p>\n<h2>SWMFCA<\/h2>\n<p>Fifteen Bobcats made the Southwest Missouri Football Coaches Association All-Area Team. <a class=\"simple-footnote\" title=\"2023 SWMFCA CLASS 1 FOOTBALL TEAM\" id=\"return-note-29312-1\" href=\"#note-29312-1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n<p>First Team:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mark Spencer (senior)- Unanimous running back<\/li>\n<li>Cooper Clark (junior)- Unanimous defensive line<\/li>\n<li>Mark Spencer (senior)- Linebacker<\/li>\n<li>Rowan Spencer (senior)- Returner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Second Team:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cooper Clark (junior)- Offensive line<\/li>\n<li>Zeb DuBois (sophomore)- Offensive line<\/li>\n<li>Devin Harrington (junior)- Quarterback<\/li>\n<li>Colt Gonzales (senior)- Linebacker<\/li>\n<li>Brandon Prince (junior)- Defensive back<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Honorable Mention:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Colt Gonzales (senior)- Running back<\/li>\n<li>Rowan Spencer (senior)- Wide receiver<\/li>\n<li>Zeb DuBois (sophomore)- Defensive line<\/li>\n<li>Xavier Gonzales (sophomore)- Linebacker<\/li>\n<li>Devin Harrington (junior)- Defensive back<\/li>\n<li>Cooper Clark (junior)- Punter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>All-State Team<\/h2>\n<p>Only two Bobcats made the Missouri Football Coaches Association All-State Team.
