Alton, Mo. \u2013 <\/strong>Yesterday, April 2, 2024, was election day for local elections across the state of Missouri. While not voting for prominent people in the news in Jefferson City or Washington, DC, these electors remain close to the common people, directing their lives. Here are the results of the elections.<\/p>\n

School Boards<\/h3>\n

Several school districts held elections for board members.<\/p>\n

Alton<\/h4>\n

Christ Johnston won with 35% of the votes. Following him was Kelly Stubblefield with 34% and Eric Smith with 29%.<\/p>\n

Couch<\/h4>\n

Couch voters could vote for two board members. The one with the most votes was David Newman, with 51%. Derrick Bennett came next with 40%, followed by Jason Arnold with 9%.<\/p>\n

Thayer R2<\/h4>\n

The numbers were close in Thayer. Voters chose William Franz with 36% of the votes. Tiffany Garrison followed with 34% and Karen Cotham had 30%.<\/p>\n

Oregon- Howell RIII<\/h4>\n

Voters could choose two board members. Jeff Lancaster received the most votes, 31%. Jamie Roberts came next with 26%, followed by Joan Billingsley with 22%. The district also had a proposition that did pass.<\/p>\n

City Workings<\/h3>\n

Moving on to the people who help our cities work, voters decided on mayors and aldermen.<\/p>\n

Alton<\/h4>\n

Once again, voters chose Paul Haddock as mayor. For aldermen, they chose Rick Deckard and Rondal Campbell with 42% and 32%, respectively.<\/p>\n

Koshkonong<\/h4>\n

Voters in the Koshkonong district chose Jennifer Johnson for mayor. For aldermen, Mark Sanders received 38% of the votes. Write-ins got the rest.<\/p>\n

Thayer Road District<\/h3>\n

Thayer had a special election for road district board member. Jeff Underwood won with 59% of the votes.<\/p>\n
