Here is something different from one in charge. Tennessee Republican Governor Bill Lee is calling for an entire month of prayer and fasting. He wants the people to ask for God’s hand of mercy and healing in Tennessee.<\/p>\n

In what has been described as a \u201chistoric gesture<\/a>,\u201d Tennessee Governor\u00a0Bill Lee\u00a0has signed a bill calling for 30 days of prayer and fasting beginning July 1 in the Volunteer State.<\/p>\n

House Confirms<\/h3>\n

Tennessee House\u00a0Joint Resolution 0803<\/a> asks the state’s people \u201cto seek God\u2019s hand of mercy and healing on Tennessee.\u201d<\/p>\n

A\u00a0letter\u00a0signed by Tennessee\u00a0state Senator Mark Pody\u00a0and\u00a0Representative Monty Fritts\u00a0accompanying the resolution invites \u201cthose who are physically able and spiritually inclined to do so to join in a 30-day season of prayer and intermittent fasting for the month of July as a means of humbling ourselves to receive God\u2019s grace, mercy, and blessing in Tennessee and in our Nation.\u201d<\/p>\n
