Alton, Mo. \u2013 <\/strong>Primary elections are less than a week away. Do you know who to vote for? The primaries are when a person votes straight down party lines, determining who will run in the general elections in November. One can choose Democratic, Republican, or Libertarian. Here are the candidates running.<\/p>\n Oregon County has one person running for sheriff: Eric King. He is the incumbent.<\/p>\n This is the southern district for the county commissioner’s assistant. The five men running for this position are John Mcintare, incumbent Jason Kemper<\/a>, Derrick Bennett<\/a>, Dennis Morgan, and Wyatt James<\/a>.<\/p>\n This is the northern district for the county commissioner’s assistant. Incumbent Terry Cline<\/a> is running against Jake Parker and Daniel Jett.<\/p>\n One person is running for the position of assessor. That is the incumbent, Doug Bridges.<\/p>\n One person is running for a public administrator. She is the incumbent, Becky Granger<\/a>.<\/p>\n One person is running for county coroner. That is the incumbent, Tom Clary.<\/p>\n Moving on to the statewide election, we choose our nominees as governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, attorney general, treasurer, senator, and representative.<\/p>\n We vote to reelect Steven Privett as judge in District 37. He is the only one running.<\/p>\n As Representative Atchison is not running again, the office is open. For the Missouri representative for District 153, we choose Keith Elliott<\/a> or Vinnie Clubb<\/a> on the Republican ticket. The Democratic ticket has Sheila Bristol.<\/p>\n We have two candidates for our state senator: incumbent Jason Bean is on the Republican ticket, and Chuck Banks<\/a> is on the Democratic. We are district 25.<\/p>\n This is the upright individual who certifies election results. Currently, John Ashcroft is the secretary of state. However, he is running for governor. Running for this office on the Libertarian ticket is Carl Herman Freese. On the Democratic ticket are Monique Williams, Barbara Phifer, and Haley Jacobson. Eight people are running on the Republican ticket. They are Valentina Gomez, Shane Schoeller, Denny Hoskins<\/a>, Adam J. Schwadron, Jamie Corley, Dean Plocher, Mary Elizabeth Coleman, and Mike Carter.<\/p>\n Several people are vying for the position of state treasurer. On the Democratic team is Mark Osmack. For the Libertarian ticket is John A. Hartwig, Jr. On the Republican ticket are Cody Smith, Andrew Koenig, Lori Rook, Vivek Malek, Tina Goodrick, and Karan Pujji.<\/p>\n Incumbent Andrew Bailey is running against Will Scharf on the Republican ticket. Elad Jonathan Gross is on the Democratic ticket. And Ryan L. Munro runs on the Libertarian ticket.<\/p>\n Six people are running against each other on the Republican ticket. They are Holly Rehder, Dave Wasinger, Lincoln Hough, Paul Berry III, Tim Baker<\/a>, and Matthew E. Porter. On the Libertarian ticket is Ken Iverson<\/a>. For the Democratic side, they have Richard Brown and Anastasia Syes.<\/p>\n Governor Parson is term-limited out. He plans on going home to spend time with his grandchildren, living under the rules he made. Taking his place are many candidate hopefuls. For the Libertarian ticket, we have Bill Slantz<\/a>. On the Republican ticket, we choose from Darrell Leon McClanahan III, Jeremy Gundel<\/a>, Bill Eigel, Robert James Olson, John R. (Jay) Ashcroft, Mike Kehoe, Chris Wright<\/a>, Darren L Grant, or Amber Thomsen. Running on the Democrat ticket are Mike Hamra, Hollis L Laster,<\/p>\n This year, we elect a senator and a representative for Washington, DC.<\/p>\n Jason Smith is running again for representative of the 8th District. James Snider and Grant Heithold<\/a> are running against him on the Republican ticket. For the Democratic ticket, you have Randi McCallian<\/a> and Franklin Delano Roth II<\/a>. Roth also spok<\/a>e in Alton here. On the Libertarian ticket, Jake Dawson is running.<\/p>\n Incumbent Josh Hawley<\/a> is running again in the Republican party for the US Senate seat. He goes against Democratic hopefuls Karla May, December Harmon, Lucas Kunce, and Mita Biswas. Libertarian W.C.
