On Monday Missouri employees pitched some ideas to make Missouri better in a \u201cShark Tank\u201d scenario type of way. This was the first ever Show Me Challenge competition and employees across 16 of Missouri’s executive departments teamed up to bring solutions to Missouri.<\/p>\n
On January 28th nearly 90 teams from across the state of Missouri pitched their ideas to state leaders. The ideas ranged from making getting a drivers license easier to increasing fitness opportunities to Missouri employees.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Show Me Challenge,” said Drew Erdmann, State of Missouri Chief Operating Officer “is a new way for state employees to pitch innovative, grassroots solutions to make Missouri state government work better not only for the citizens we serve but also for the employees doing the work.\u201d [1]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n The first place winners of this round were team AgStop which showed a plan for a website and smartphone app, that would allow users to page through a short list of prompts to submit regulatory forms, identify new marketing opportunities and discover financial options available to them through the Missouri Department of Agriculture.<\/p>\n Keep on Truckin’ came in second place with an idea focused on reducing Commercial Driver License transaction errors that occur in the license offices which have a negative impact on our citizens in the transportation industry.<\/p>\n And the third place winner was Mobile Assessment. Mobile Assessments are a simple solution to an outdated government process. It implements mobile assessments that will yield more efficient operations, costs savings, log with improved customer service.<\/p>\n The next round of the Show Me Challenge will be held in February 2019, and the final round will be held in June of 2019 [2]<\/sup><\/a>The Winners<\/h2>\n
