The Westlake Ace Hardware store in West Plains is uniting with the Salvation Army in providing fans for those in need. Each year Ace Hardware stores throughout the country each host the annual fan drive, which benefits the Salvation Army. In West Plains, the Westlake Ace Hardware Store on Mitchel Road is participating.<\/p>\n
Customers who purchase at the Westlake True Value store are asked to round up their purchase at the register. All of this extra cash goes directly to the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army buys fans with the money raised. This store has kicked off the promotion with a donation of 625 fans.<\/p>\n
This promotion began Thursday, June 4, 2020, and will continue until Sunday, June 21, 2020. This year, 2020,\u00a0 is the 14th year Westlake raised money for this betterment. Last year customers donated more than $78,000. This amount equals 5,700 fans given to the Salvation Army.<\/p>\n
With so many households in need, now especially due to the Coronavirus shutdowns, this program will see to as many families as possible get the fans they need for the summer. Residents may donate online at westlakehardware.com\/fandrive<\/a>.\u00a0 All donations, both in-store and online stay in the local community.
