Thomasville, Missouri is moving forward with Independence Day activities, and they are continuing to hold their Fourth of July celebrations. Each year they plan a fun night for the entire family. Whether it’s the pie auction for the adults or the duck race for the children, this proves to be a family event.<\/p>\n
The actual celebrations begin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4. The festivities start with concessions and Spring Dipper ice cream parlor- perfect for hot summer days.\u00a0 From 6:30-7:30 a whole pie silent auction takes place, along with a quilt turning and the all famous duck races. If you’ve never seen a duck race, it leaves a lasting impression on all viewers.\u00a0 At 7:30 there will be a presentation of the flag. Live music by Dawson House Hollow follows at 8:00 p.m. The fireworks follow the free concert. Throughout the evening the gym will remain open for basketball, although basketballs are not provided.<\/p>\n
