Thayer, Mo. \u2013 <\/strong>Two Saturdays before the primary elections, Republican candidates met at Thayer, Missouri’s Industrial Park to answer questions the attendees might have. There were hot food and cold drinks for the crowd of about thirty people.<\/p>\n

The speakers were:<\/h2>\n

Jack Bates running for state representative, Frank Devenuto running for state representative, Kevin Jotz for Oregon County Sheriff, and Karla Eslinger running for state senator.<\/p>\n

Jack Bates<\/h3>\n

Mr.Bates talked about the differences between minimum wage and a living wage. He also touched on masks and the education workforce in Oregon County.<\/p>\n

Frank Devenuto<\/h3>\n

Mr. Devenuto spoke on the error of removing God’s Law from our schools. He also explained his views on the Constitution, gun rights, and the rights of privately held businesses to enforce rules on customers who enter their premises.<\/p>\n

Kevin Jotz<\/h3>\n

Mr. Jotz laid out his objections to Sheriff Eric King’s leadership over the Oregon County Sheriffs’ Department during the last twenty years. He also believes that he is physically fit to be the next sheriff of Oregon County.<\/p>\n

Karla Eslinger<\/h3>\n

Mrs. Eslinger explained how she is a Constitutional Conservative and how her rights come from the U.S Constitution.<\/p>\n

Mr. Mitchell Representing Jaret Holden<\/h3>\n

Jaret Holden is running for state representative. Although he could not make the\u00a0Republican rally in Thayer on Saturday last Saturday, he did send a substitute to speak on his views.<\/p>\n
