Alton, Mo. \u2013 <\/strong>Because of the coronavirus, the National Football League pre-season has been up in the air for many months. The NFL announced that there would not be any pre-season games for the 2020 season on July 27, 2020.<\/p>\n As training camp has begun and is underway, the NFL has tried their best to keep the season as normal as possible as it progresses. As much as they tried, the NFL has canceled all of the pre-season games. The pre-season was already cut to two pre-season games at the beginning of July. The NFL and the NFL Players Association came to an agreement that there would be no pre-season games.<\/p>\n On Monday, July 27, 2020, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell wrote a letter to NFL fans. Roger Goodell said, “Preseason games have been canceled. Everyone in the team environment must follow rigorous health and safety protocols to keep themselves and each other safe.” [1]<\/sup><\/a> In the letter, Commissioner Goodell said that the NFL will not be like other years. Commissioner Roger Goodell also said. “Every step of the way, our focus has been on the safety of players, coaches, personnel, fans and our communities.” [2]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n During the meeting also, the NFL teams will have a roster of 80 players at training camp instead of the usual 90. [3]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n The NFL season is still to go on as planned.
