The Office of Lieutenant Governor created a national BUY MISSOURI economic development initiative to promote to other states and the world the products grown, manufactured, processed, and/or made in Missouri. Approved products and businesses will be listed on the Business Directory page of the website.
Who Can Enroll?
Missouri businesses can enter their information on the site. When selling products, they must have 51% or greater Missouri content to qualify for BUY MISSOURI.
Cost?
No cost to enter this program. It is free advertising to those in Missouri and those wanting to buy from Missourians.
Extras
The site has a search button for a specific trade or business. It spotlights businesses to drive customers to them. From pre-pandemic, they published online newsletters highlighting businesses and noting how many businesses are listed in each county. Sadly, Oregon County needs more local businesses to list with BuyMissouri.net.
Buy Missouri Day
There is also a Buy Missouri Day at the Capitol in Jefferson City. Missouri vendors can come to the third-floor rotunda and display their wares. They can share information about their experiences and products. This is usually held in April.
