Apple announces an easy way to donate to America’s national parks. Finding ways to support a local, or non local, national park can be difficult. So why not make that less difficult by letting someone else do it for you? From August 24th through August 31st Apple will donate one dollar to the National Park Foundation. Every time you make a purchase using Apple pay at any Apple store, website, or app. That’s like buying something you need and doing a good deed at the same time.
Proceeds will support the National Park Foundation’s mission to protect national parks through projects like habitat restoration and historic preservation and engage the next generation of park stewards through programs like Open OutDoors for Kids.“America’s national parks are treasures everyone should experience, and we’re proud to support them again this month by donating a dollar for every purchase made with Apple Pay at one of our stores,” said Apple’s CEO Tim Cook. “These awe-inspiring places are our national inheritance, and Apple is doing our part to pass them on to future generations — just as extraordinary, beautiful and wild as we found them.” [1]
