Alton, Mo. – The Oregon County Public Waste has announced that it will give its workers Christmas Day off. Hooray for them!
Christmas
Christmas comes on a Monday this year. As many residents have trash pickup on that day, OCPW is canceling service for that day. Both for allowing its employees to celebrate this holy day with their families and for the sake of residents being distracted and not taking time to set their cans out, the trucks will not run their routes on Monday. Those who have the service on Monday can expect to see their servicemen on Thursday.
New Years
However, one week past Christmas is New Year’s Day. All services will run as usual on that Monday. Even if the drivers are up late bringing in the new year, you can expect trash service on New Year’s.
Thank you to Oregon County Public Waste for notifying us ahead of time.
