Ozarks Regional Stockyards Slaughter / Replacement Cattle – Oct 26, 2022
Summary:
One-half to three inches of rain fell across the area this week which helped some ponds, but much more is needed. The USDA’s Cold Storage Report, released last week, reported beef in freezers was up 2 percent from the previous month and up 17 percent from a year ago. Unlike last week, slaughter cows and bulls traded steadily all around. Demand was good on a heavy supply of slaughter animals and a moderate supply of bred cows.
