Summary:
Slaughter cows and bulls traded 2.00-3.00 higher. Bred Cows traded steady while pairs were not well tested. Demand was good on a moderate supply. Receipts were higher than expected as producers took advantage of the last sale of 2022 to stay a step ahead of the predicted sub-zero temperatures and negative double-digit windchill’s. Replacement/Slaughter Cattle sales for 2022, at Ozark’s Regional Stockyard, totaled 49,515 head which was 13 percent higher than a year ago and 6.7 percent higher than the 5-year average.
