Ozarks Regional Stockyards Slaughter / Replacement Cattle – Jun 22, 2022
Summary:
In the past two weeks, pasture conditions have gone from good to poor due to the lack of rain across the Ozarks with some areas receiving less than one-quarter of an inch so far in June. While that has been a major factor in the stockyards, slaughter cows and bulls still traded 2.00-5.00 higher with the biggest gain on high dressing cattle. A heavy supply of slaughter animals and a light supply of bred cows and pairs were available.
Supply included (percentages are rounded): 86% Slaughter Cattle (7% Bulls, 93% Cows); 14% Replacement Cattle (17% Cow-Calf Pairs, 34% Bred Cows, 3% Bred Heifers, 46% Stock Cows);
