Alton, Mo. – The Mo/Ark Livestock Auction House may not have auctions at present, but it does have a small animal exchange each Saturday. Bring your chickens, rabbits, or other small livestock to sell or trade. Here are the details.
What Is Happening?
Local residents bring their small animals, like chickens or puppies, to the auction house to sell or trade. Other vendors show up selling homemade treats or baked goods.
Where Is This?
The Mo/Ark Livestock Auction House is located on Highway AA, north of Alton. The auction house is on the north side of the road. It supplies a large mowed field for parking or trading.
When Does This Take Place?
Each Saturday, weather permitting, buyers and sellers gather in the parking lot between 9 and noon. If there is a crowd, some do stay until 1:00 pm.
Who Can Come?
This is open to everyone with no entrance fee.
This is an excellent way to sell your abundance, buy locally, or trade with a neighbor.
