Missouri’s bicentennial is coming up on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. The Thayer and Alton Senior Centers will be having ice cream socials that day.
When
The ice cream social in Alton will be after lunch at 12:15 pm. In Thayer, the ice cream social will also be after lunch but it will be at 12:30 pm. There will also be an ice cream social for RSVP volunteers and board members at the Alton Senior Center on Monday, August 2, 2021, at 2:00 pm. Meghan Haenel, the regional lead of Thayer and Alton, said on the ice cream social,

The ice cream socials will be at the Thayer and Alton Senior Centers.
Activities For Alton
On August 17, at 10:00 am, there will be fur bearers of Missouri presented by Missouri Department of Conservation. On August 19, at 10:00 am, there will be a pen pal club. On August 26, at 10:30 pm, there will be a lost loved ones grief support. Lots of other fun activities are planned.
Food For Alton
There will be pork patties, lasagna, American goulash, pepper steak, and a lot more yummy foods for seniors throughout the month of August.
