Alton, Mo. – The Alton Farmer’s Market is in full swing for the season. Beginning back in May, local farmers and merchants bring their wares to the Tucker Creek Park on Saturday mornings to offer them to shoppers. Most Saturdays find the park parking lot full of potential spenders.
Produce
Farm fresh produce is coming in. One can expect to find squash, greens, peppers, and more. Sellers often bring farm fresh eggs- but they do not last to long.
Home Baked Goods
The farmer’s market usually has an ample supply of home baked treats like pies, cookies, and home made breads.
Non-Edibles
The Alton Farmer’s Market also sells items that are not edible. Among them are cards, baskets, and jewelry.
And of course, there is always fun at the market.
Come join the crowd every Saturday through October at the Tucker Creek Park, behind the swimming pool between 9-1am.
