The Alton, Missouri, High School Cross Country team is heading to the state championships on Saturday, November 5, 2022. Businesses and individuals in Alton are encouraged to wear blue, white, and gold and to decorate their businesses and homes to encourage them to state.
Previous Wins
The boys just won first in our district. They plan on doing their best at state this week. Their coaches, Michael and Marilyn Cockrum, have been doing their best to train them and encourage them along the season.
Runners
Eight runners have qualified for state: seven boys and one girl. The runners are as follows: Tucker Combs (senior), Cory Miller (senior), Gunnar Kennedy (senior), Rydan Deckard (junior), Trenton Cunningham (junior), Trevor Cunningham (junior), Logan Kennedy (junior), and Shalayna Whittenberg (sophomore).
State
The State Championship is going to be in Columbia, Missouri, on November 5, 2022.
Cheer Them On!
Individuals are encouraged to wear the Alton Comet colors of blue, white, and gold throughout the week. Businesses are also encouraged to decorate their businesses in the Comet colors to cheer on the cross country team as they head to state.
