Another month is already here. With a new month comes new foods and activities for the Alton, Missouri, Senior Center. Here is the menu and activities for the month of April.
What’s On The Menu?
To start off the month of April, barbecue rib sandwich, baked beans, brussel sprouts, and cherry crisp will be served. For April 5th, spaghetti and meatballs, tossed salad, garlic bread, and apple crisp will be available. On the 11th, chicken fried steak, mashed potato with country gravy, spinach casserole, a biscuit, and a peanut butter cookie will be waiting for you. Cheeseburgers with lettuce, tomato, and pickles, along with sides of coleslaw, wedges, and no bake cookies will be served on the 15th. On Thursday, April 21st, a meal of taco salad with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and black olives, along with sides of refried beans and peanut butter pie will be cooked.
Activities For April
If you still haven’t done your taxes, you can go by the Senior Center between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm to get free tax help. On April 8th, at 10:00 am, a first-come-first-serve toenail clinic will be held. On Tuesday, April 12th there will be games with Gayle. At 11:00 am on the 14th, a birthday celebration with 3 Rivers Hospice will happen. On April 22 and 25 barn quilts will be at the Senior Center.
