At the beginning of July, the Alton, Missouri, Senior Center got a grant from MFA Oil Foundation to get new equipment for the center. Most of what the grant was being used for had to do with the kitchen and making food, including tents, a BBQ grill, a griddle, and a seven-drawer chest. As of July 31, 2023, their new griddle was installed.
Installation
Loren Barton and Paul from Barton Electric helped do the installation of the griddle. SeniorAge paid for the installation of the new griddle.
Yummy Foods
With their new griddle, the senior center can make their cheeseburgers come out better than usual along with their grilled cheese sandwiches and egg omelets.
MFA Grant
The MFA Oil grant has allowed the Alton Senior Center to purchase several needed items for the center including tents for cook-out, a new BBQ grill, the griddle, and a seven-drawer chest.
