A new year has come upon us and the Alton, Missouri, Senior Center is still taking care of its senior citizens by providing meals and activities for them.
Meals
To start off the month on January 2nd, country fried steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, biscuit, and a hone bun cake will be served. On January 11th, ham and bean, spinach, cornbread, and double chocolate cake will be dished out. Pepper steak with peppers and onions, mashed potatoes and brown gravy, country veggies, biscuit, and a Mayan cupcake will be served on January 16th. On January 24th, chicken and waffles, fresh strawberries and blueberries, and bread pudding will be served. To end the month, Monterey chicken, hot curried fruit, marinated veggie salad, hot roll, and a pig pickin’ cake will be served on January 31st.
Activities
On January 2nd, there will be a drawing at 11:30 am. A foot clinic will be held on January 4th. Origami craft-making will be at 10:00 am on January 8th. On January 22nd, it will be Roland’s Challenge Day with pool, WiGame, shuffleboard, and corn hole. Valentine puzzle crafts will be on January 29th, and to end the month, individuals can have hot chocolate with Whitney on January 31st.
