We’re over halfway through the year, and with that comes another month of food and activities at the Alton, Missouri, senior center for July 2024.
Meals
The month of July is filled with many different delicious meals at the senior center. On July 10th, they are having taco salad, tortilla chips, all the fixings, refried beans, and banana pudding. On July 16th, they are having creamy chicken Alfredo, Italian blend, zucchini salad, Italian herb bread, and fiddle diddle cookies. Hamburger steak, mashed potato and brown gravy, pepper/onion meadow blend, roll, and fruit cocktail cake will be served on July 24th. Brown sugar Italian, chicken, California blend, fruit salad, and cherry chip cookie will be served on July 30th.
Activities
On July 10th, it is the 40th anniversary of the Alton Senior Center. On July 11th, there will be a blood pressure check at 10:00 am. On July 17th, it is cake walk day. There will also be MU Extension cooking with Jan on July 17th. On July 22nd, the pie in the face challenge begins. On the 26th at 10:00 am, the University of Missouri extension office will be at the senior center with John Fuller. On July 31st, Cindy’s Crafting Corner will begin at 9:00 am.
