Alton senior center drive safely

Alton, Mo. – We all need reminders of commonplace habits that need to be reconsidered. Driving is something we all take for granted. While cruising through town or on the highway, we tend to be preoccupied with thoughts far away. But sometimes it’s good to wake up. The senior center can help.

The Alton Senior Center is joining forces with the University of Missouri extension office to remind drivers to drive safely. The session is planned for next week and they do need to know who plans on attending.

Topics Include

The Alton Senior Center is presenting a discussion about staying safe on the road. They will have a free presentation on driving safety. Some of the topics covered include:

  • How to stay medically and physically fit to drive
  • When and how to prepare for driving retirement
  • Tools and resources to help keep you safe on the road

These topics are informative to anyone, but aimed at senior citizens. However, this talk is not just for seniors. It is important to be aware of your surroundings and to take reflexive action no matter your age.
