Boxing champion George Foreman passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025. While well-known for his boxing skills, he was also a notable businessman, minister, and author.

History

Born in Texas, he dropped out of school and tried his hand at boxing.

Career

By the time he was nineteen years old, he had won the Olympic gold. Five years later, he won his first heavyweight championship. He won the heavyweight title twice—just 21 years apart. His most famous boxing match was against Muhammad Ali, to whom he lost.

After Boxing

Before he retired from boxing, he endorsed the famous George Foreman grill, which brought him much wealth over the years. He also went into preaching. By 1984, he founded a Youth and Community Center in Houston, Texas.

Family

Although he was known as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grand and great-grandfather, he was married five times and fathered a dozen children. Each of his sons was named George.

There is no cause of death announced. He was 76.
