Alton, Mo. – Southern Bank has moved to a brand new location in Alton, Missouri. Southern Bank has been in Alton for a number of years. Since fall, the news was out that they were building a new facility.
Where Is The New Building?
Southern Bank formally was on Highway 160 on the west side of town, across the street from Harps Grocery Store. Once the decision was made to make a new building, the plans were displayed in this bank. They planned to open in December, and they did! The new construction is on Highway 19 on the south side of town, next to Napa and close to Dollar General.
Grand Opening Celebration
On Friday, December 20, 2019, Southern Bank held a grand opening celebration for the entire community. During lunch hours, free treats were handed out to all who stopped by. Well wishes were wished upon all.
What Is The Inside Like?
This facility is similar to many of the larger branches with a wide-open entry. Openness is what most people think when using this facility. State of the art newness is visible. Although a few minor irritations have occurred at this new building, nothing major was noted, and no one has lost their money. This location will also have a drive-through available, as the other site did.
